Join us for an exciting career journey as our Field Service Engineer. Whether you're a recent graduate or someone with a few years of experience, you'll be the friendly face representing Kongsberg to customers all around the world. Training will be provided to ensure you excel in your role.

Your primary responsibilities include installation and commissioning of two critical systems.

• AutoChief Propulsion Control Systems: Propulsion control on vessels, ensuring efficient and safe operation.
• K-Chief Marine Automation Systems: Integrate various shipboard functions, enhancing operational safety.
• You`ll also perform services and maintenance on sailing ships equipped with Kongsberg’s equipment and provide in-house technical support to customers and colleagues.

As our Service Engineer, you'll also need to know how to prioritize tasks and handle complicated jobs step by step. Join us and be part of a team that's changing the maritime industry!

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree, Y-Veien or equivalent in fields such as electro, automation, or electronics. Students who finish their bachelor’s degree this semester are encouraged to apply. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of education
• Field experience in maritime, shipping, or offshore oil and gas installations is valuable.
• Fluency in both English and Norwegian (both written and oral) is essential.
• Motivated for travelling worldwide

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.

Work Location and Contact:

You’ll be based in Horten, Norway, but your work will take you around the world.
