You will join our Automation & Process Control team, which is responsible for integrated automation system (IAS) deliveries to ship owners in the offshore and merchant segments. Our team specializes in LNG process simulation and control, as well as vessel automation control and alarm handling.

For our segments of responsibility, we are a stakeholder to internal product departments for engineering efficiency tools and new product capabilities. Additionally, we also specify, plan and execute technical feasibility studies for extended customer value propositions, currently with a high focus on emission management, in close cooperation with customers and our sales department.

We work closely with international colleagues in our projects, and our engineers travel for sea / gas trials and commissioning support.

What We Are Looking For

As Operation Manager for our automation department in Horten, you will be heading the delivery organization for Automation & Process control. Typical deliveries are automation system for Offshore, LNG-Carriers, LPG-Carriers, FSRU, FLNG, FGSS - Systems, Pax and other typical vessel types in the Merchant fleet.

The Department is responsible for being “center of excellence” and has Engineering resources for the K-Chief deliveries in the merchant market.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Relevant engineering education, college or university
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience with leadership for technical personnel.
• Proficiency in English and Norwegian (written and spoken)
• Experience with Kongsberg Automation Systems is an advantage.

• Resource planning and allocation including recruitments together with your 2 group managers

• Enable the department’s group managers to lead their resources in a good way
• Support and improve Kongsberg Maritime projects and departments concerning overall project execution and develop our center of excellence related to the typical project delivered from our Horten Site.
