We are seeking a part-time (20%) researcher for a 2-year position, with the possibility of extension, to join the Department of Cancer Genetics at the Institute for Cancer Research, Oslo University Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in developing deep learning and machine learning methods for pathology image analysis. The research will focus on advancing machine learning approaches to improve patient diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutic response prediction.

Kvalifikasjoner:

Technical Qualifications

  • A MSc in computer science, biomedical physics or a related field.
  • Strong background in machine learning, statistics, and deep learning.
  • Proficiency in python programming and bash.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (such as TensorFlow/Keras and PyTorch).
  • Experience with deep learning statistical modelling like Neural Networks, CNNs, ViT, GANS etc.
  • Previous relevant publications is an advantage.

Candidates with their most recent degree obtained outside Scandinavia must have NOKUT approval. Additionally, candidates with non-English instruction degrees from outside of Scandinavian institutions are required to provide proof of English proficiency through IELTS or TOEFL.
