Join the Uncrewed Platforms division at Kongsberg Discovery as a Product Advisor, where you’ll contribute to the development of cutting-edge uncrewed surface vessels (USVs). Kongsberg Discovery is a global marine technology leader known for delivering innovative and reliable solutions. Our USVs are self-driving, equipped with world-leading sensor technology, and can operate independently for up to 20 days, playing a vital role in environmental sustainability. In the Uncrewed Platforms division, we design, and deliver advanced USVs, autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), and support systems for extended ocean exploration and data collection.

What you will be working on

As a Product Advisor you will contribute to the management of our USV products and their life cycle. Your tasks will vary from technical management of products and related documentation, technical sales support, follow-up and oversight of development efforts, acting as a product subject matter expert, and bridging between sales, engineering, customers, and production teams.

You will be part of the Product department, a dedicated group of people responsible for all Uncrewed Platforms products. To succeed in this position, we believe you need to take initiative, be cooperative, responsible, structured, and quality minded. The position requires some travel, such as attending conferences, visiting customers, and exhibitions. Occasionally, you may join our operators and customers in the field.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with product management and life cycle support
• Product assistance to other parts of our organisation, such as projects, customer service, procurement, and sales
• Advise on, control, and facilitate product documentation, including requirements from naval customers
• Oversee development of new functionality and features
• Contribute to new USV designs with technical insights

Qualifications and experience

• Experience with maritime sector projects or products, with a focus on component and systems integration
• Strong understanding of technical components and systems
• A bachelor's degree, or education such as a relevant technical diploma. Relevant experience may also compensate for the educational requirement
• You are skilled in using PLM software or eager to learn such tools, with a structured approach to product lifecycle management
•  Fluent in both spoken and written English. Fluency in spoken and written Norwegian is beneficial
