Researcher position for multi-modal modelling
Offentlig forvaltning
We have an open vacancy for a 3-year researcher position for integrated analysis and modelling of multi-modal, single-cell data, as part of our ‘ImmuneT-ME’ consortium (Interrogation of the immune-microenvironment of T-cell malignancies). ImmuneT-ME project is funded by European Partnership for Personalized Medicine (EP PerMed), and it includes cancer biologists, clinical hematologists, immunologists, computational scientists as well as EU-wide patient organizations. The project will comprehensively map the immune TME across various T-cell leukemias/lymphomas, harnessing single-cell omics technologies, large patient datasets, and clinical sample validation to develop novel, patient stratifying biomarkers and personalized therapies. The multi-modal data from the preclinical models will be integrated with real-world and clinical trial data using AI approaches to identify TME-derived signatures and predict patient outcomes.
The research group of Prof. Tero Aittokallio develops and uses computational approaches that combine multi-omics genomic and molecular profiling data and clinical information from cancer patients using mathematical and statistical approaches such as machine learning and network modelling; see https://www.ous-research.no/aittokallio/. The medical aim is to optimize treatment regimens and outcomes for individual patients using maximally predictive models and minimal biomarker signatures.
The researcher will be employed at the Department of Cancer Genetics, located at the Institute for Cancer Research, Oslo University Hospital, and work in a multidisciplinary team. The researcher will have the possibility to attend relevant courses at the University of Oslo, and present at national and international conferences. Our multicultural and multidisciplinary organization prides itself in a working community that fosters creativity and diversity, and a relaxed workplace with a Nordic style of work-life balance.
Oslo University Hospital is a workplace with great diversity. We believe this is crucial to solving our tasks in the best possible way. We want this diversity to be reflected among the applicants for our positions, and encourage all qualified candidates, regardless of background, to apply!

- Good programming skills (e.g. Python, R) and ability to work with version control tools (e.g. Git)
- Previous knowledge of cancer research and preclinical model systems is considered an advantage
Personlige egenskaper:
