Service & Support Engineer – Automation/Electrical

We are seeking a technically strong Service & Support Engineer with a background as Electrician and/or Automation engineer. You will work with our in-house developed control systems based on Siemens S7 & TIA PLC and a Qt-based GUI, supporting advanced deck machinery for offshore and naval vessels. Most of your time will be spent providing technical support from the office, with some international travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide office-based technical support as your main task.
- Travel internationally (approx. 50–80 days per year) for commissioning, upgrades, and service.
- Troubleshoot PLC-based control systems and electrical components.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, both on-site and through remote support.
- Handle support requests and assist with system documentation.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
Qualifications
- Practical, hands-on technical experience is highly valued.
- Electrician or Automation education, or an bachelor’s degree in Automation or Electrical Engineering.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
- Proficient in English.
- Experience with Siemens S7 and/or TIA, Qt, or similar systems is an advantage.
- Familiarity with CAD, PLM, or ERP systems is a plus.
